How Deep the Father's Love for Us!

Posted on Saturday, July 26, 2008, under

This week has been a tough one for me. I have been confronted with the shallowness of my faith. How soon I forget the deepness of the Father's Love when I am thrown into the sin of this world.

Work has been hard this week. Please pray for me as I try to organize my office, store and staff. The Louisville market is in need for faithful employees; please pray that I am able to find them. Please pray for my current staff, as it has been difficult to make a schedule that works around everyone's personal issues: surgeries, family illness and even death. As I am following in God's calling, there is the evil one trying to bring me down with circumstances beyond my control. Thank the Lord that He is above all circumstances. "He is before ALL things, and in HIM ALL THINGS are HELD TOGETHER." Colossians 1:17.

Thank you Jesus for your deep love in the midst of my shallow faith.

How Deep the Fathers Love for Us

How deep the Father's love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure

How great the pain of searing loss,
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the chosen One
Bring many sons to glory

Behold the Man upon a cross,
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed I hear my barking voice
Call out among the scoffers

It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished

I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection

Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom
(repeat)
